Pamela Wright

Our family embraced Christian education many years ago because we found it to be superior when compared to public education, and as Believers, Randy and I preferred that our boys be able to freely develop their spiritual lives in a setting that paired great academics with a solid Christian worldview. Interestingly, in July, 2013 the Lord, unexpectedly, set a number of former Freedom faculty, parents and students on a new adventure which we call Libertas Christian School. Proving Himself faithful beyond compare, the Lord opened doors and created pathways for the birth of a new school, and Randy and I have had the sincere privilege of serving in various ways to facilitate Libertas from its birth to now, its second year in a new school building. How wonderful to hear the energetic, fun sounds of students and teachers as they move through the hallways and classrooms, interacting with one another!

As a teacher in Libertas’s Humanities Department, I teach World Literature and Composition, while also serving as Academic Advisor. This allows me the best of both worlds, for teaching and advisement each provide unique opportunities for me to serve the needs of our students and their parents while using the gifts God has given me.

One final thought; Libertas faculty are not only teachers, but disciplers! What a blessing to prepare our students for life via academics, as we also prepare them to follow God’s leading into the world beyond our doors as ambassadors for Christ. We get to encourage, correct, comfort and cheer our students on in developing a deeper intimacy with their Savior . . . what a high calling . . . what a high privilege!
