I enjoyed my many years of homeschooling and the opportunity that it gave me to spend quality time with my children. Education at home or at school, is not an easy task, but I found that rewards outweighed the challenges. The main thing I enjoy about teaching at Libertas now, is that I can impart God’s word into every lesson, helping the children to see all things through the lens of God’s Word. ‘We walk by faith, not by sight’ knowing that He will guide, work and direct the hearts of those who listen to His word and obey it. I am thankful and humbled that He would allow me the opportunity to teach and serve the students and parents here at Libertas.
- Educational Experience I have an Associates Degree in General Studies from Oakland University in Auburn Hills, MI, but believe that I have learned to teach by teaching, along with cultivating a love for it by reading good books on Christian education. This past year, I taught the Hillsdale College US Constitution course and Economics 101 for a high school class at Libertas. I have also taught children at church and started and lead a homeschool co-op for several years while living in Canada
